In La Otra, Natalia Iguíñiz gathers in a same photographic portrait the employer and the employee (housemaid) of a domestic space. This way she points out a situation of social tension from the private space as an allegory to the ethnic-social conflicts of contemporary Peru.

NATALIA IGUIÑIZ (Lima, 1973)
Licencee in Plastic Arts with mention in Painting from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2001). Distinctions: “El Último Lustro”, I Bienal Nacional de Lima (1998). Has exhibited in Lima, France, USA, Bolivia, Ecuador and Spain. Individual exhibtions: La Pérdida (1998) y La Otra (2001) both in the Galería Forum (Lima). Participates in the I and III Bienal Iberoamericana de Lima (1997 and 2002). As part of the collective La Perrera she has exhibited at the II Bienal Nacional de Lima (2000) and in the Feria ARCO de Madrid (2000). Recently has participated in the Bienal de Cuenca (2004). Teacher in the Faculty of Art at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, the Escuela de Arte Corriente Alterna and the Centro de la Fotografía.
